National Patient Safety Observance Planned for Wednesday, July 25, 2007
This year, we will gather in Lyndhurst, Ohio at Lyndhurst Park on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 7:00p.m. as part of National Patient Safety Day.
Take a moment to reflect and thank those who make a difference in patient safety. Let's make Cleveland the safest place in the world for healthcare! All medical professionals welcome.
This observance and vigil is in memory of Shannon McBride, who died in 2003 after complications from a tonsillectomy, and the 98,000 Americans who die from medical errors each year.
Groups and individuals from over 30 states and Canada will gather at various locations across the continent on July 25 for a national moment of silence. Last year, more than 30 people gathered at our Obervance and Vigil in Willoughby, Ohio.
Gather at the gazebo at 7pm on July 25 behind Lyndhurst City Hall located at 5301 Mayfield Road between Brainard and Richmond Roads.
Patient Safety Cleveland no longer holds public meetings. However, we are still active in patient safety issues and would be happy to help anyone who needs access to resources. Please contact us at our email:
